My Artwork

I am in my first year of GCSEs and have taken art as one of my subjects and I love it! And I have definitely improved, so I thought I would show you some of my artwork for my GCSE! (btw I haven't put GCSE in capitals because i love doing them, trust me I don't, its just spell check!)

This is my page on Andrea Joseph who uses a lot of Biro's in her work.

This is my pencil drawing of a vans shoe.

This is my copy of a painting done by Marc Taro Holme, the original is in the bottom right corner.

This is a watercolour painting of a place I went on holiday to called Cassis.

And last but not least this is a fineliner and felt tip drawing I did that is a copy of a piece of work by Nina Johansson, the original is in the bottom left hand corner.

Do you take art?

Staple Stock Up

I think it's fair to say that i love a new beauty buy. There's just something about trying out a new product that you don't get when using a old faithful. Therefore, i find buying and trying new products much more enjoyable and exciting than using the same product over and over again. How can you find the best product, when you haven't even bothered to try any?

I have certainly shopped around when it comes to shower gel and i don't think i have ever bought a shower gel that i have used before. However, i do enjoy to use the Original Source shower gels and them very refreshing and smell amazing. After squeezing ever last squirt out of my lime scent, i thought it time to repurchase, but obviously i couldn't stick to the same scent. Citrus scents are refreshing and revitalising and i just love a good refreshing shower to get me going, so my obvious choses were the Tea Tree and Lemon Shower Gel and the Seasonal Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel.

Unlike my aray of shower gels, i have a faithful, trusty shampoo which i believe is the best on the highstreet. Head & Shoulders is advertised as dandruff shampoo which puts people off, but it's not just for people with dranduff. It makes your hair weightless, soft and silky smooth and even though the classic has a slightly odd scent, it doesn't put me off repurchasing. They now have an apple and a citrus scented shampoo though, which i do prefer, which is why i have repurchased the Citrus Fresh Shampoo and the Classic 2in1 Shampoo aswell.

Tresemme Natural Moisture Conditioner is another new product that i wanted to try. Sometimes i find conditioners can be a little itchy or greasy for the head so i quite liked the idea of it being natural and moisturising and i can't wait to try it.

Neutrogena is a brand i have always been aware of but never really been that bothered about until recently when i realised they sold a face wash in my favourite scent, Pink Grapefuit. I have been using this face wash for a few days now and i love it. I don't think i have ever loved a face wash more than this one. It's amazing; it's refreshing, smells great and works, what better can you get in a face wash?

How To Make a Raspberry and Peach Cheesecake

I have never really liked cheesecake and thought that putting cake and cheese together was just mental, but i have recently grown to love cheesecake and thought that they must be quite easy to make and so i thought i would give it go and here is how i made an interesting twist on a classic cheesecake...

You Will Need:
  100g Butter
200g Digestive Biscuits
600g Soft Cheese
150g Icing Sugar
2tsp Vanilla Extract
300ml Double Cream
300g Raspberries
2 Ripe Peaches

Melt the butter in a pan and then turn out the heat.

Place the biscuits in a plastic bag and crush into crumbs with a rolling pin.

Mix the melted butter with the crushed biscuits.

Line the base and sides of a loose-bottomed tin with greaseproof paper.

Tip the mixture into the tin and squash it down to give a even base and place into the fridge while you prepare the filling.

Put the soft cheese,100g of the icing sugar and the vanilla extract into and bowl and whisk until smooth.

Pour in the cream and whisk again.

Add half of the raspberries and 1 chopped up peach into a bowl and mix using a wooden spoon.

Spoon this into the tin and flatten down the top using a spatula, leave to set in the fridge overnight.

Now place the rest of the raspberries and the other peach chopped up into a blender and blend.

Sieve into a glass and leave to chill in the fridge overnight too.

After they have chilled in the fridge overnight pour the peach and raspberry sauce onto the cheesecake and spread it evenly. You can now eat it!!!!

Cassis!!!!!!!!

I've just been to Cassis which is a very beautiful town on the South Coast of France in between Nice and Marseille, i went for a week and now i am back to tell you all about it! I absolutely loved it and i took loads of pictures, so prepare yourself for picture overload, again!

The harbour was really pretty and was the centre of the town, it had a long row of buildings at the front, everyone of these buildings being a different restaurant. All the restaurants served 'Moules Frites' which is Mussels and Chips and that's what everyone single person in every restaurant ate, except for a few kids! The harbour was full with mainly sleek, posh speed boats, but there were a few classic sailing boats, which were equally as pretty! They even had jousting on boats!
Some trees on the walk down from the train station.
The beach! I learnt that 'medusas' is jellyfish in french as one day there were loads in the sea and people just caught them using shoes and nets and those beach tennis racket things!

We even went snorkeling using my brother snorkel and we saw loads of fish, they had an underwater sea trail which my brother kind of went on and he saw even more bigger fish!
This is the bowling area, people just took their own bowls and played bowls and behind that at the top is the castle, but we didn't go up there.

We went on a boat trip round a few of the calanques! They are the highest sea cliffs in Europe according to my dad and they were beautiful!

They had a market everyday and it was really beautiful, they even had a night market!

This is a beautiful cafe that we went to one day!

Where did you go on holiday?
